Job summary

Heartland Co-Op in Wever, IA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to receive and bill merchandise, assist customers, and support the location manager with daily tasks in a busy retail counter.

You will handle payments, process bookings, maintain accuracy in cash handling, and help manage inventory, grain, petroleum, feed, and agronomy records while delivering friendly service across in-person and phone interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Basic math and cash-handling proficiency.
• Ability to learn grain and inventory software and follow procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service via email, in-person, phone and live chat.
• Bill products, receive payments, run scale, and track inventory.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns and issues.
• Maintain records for grain, petroleum, feed and agronomy.
• Accept and record prepayments and bookings.
• Process payments and price commodities delivered by customers.
• Manage cash drawer and deposits at end of day.
• Develop product knowledge and service expertise.
• Multitask efficiently with attention to detail.
• Support location manager as needed.
