Job summary

Palmetto Grain Brokerage is seeking a Grain Broker & Risk Management Advisor in the Southeast. You will serve farmers, producers, processors and end users, helping them navigate cash markets, understand local basis, and manage price risk while building a personal client book.

You will deliver market insights and represent the firm with a farmer-first focus, leveraging an experienced team and comprehensive services. Field-based role requiring entrepreneurial drive.

Qualifications

• Experience in grain marketing or risk management.
• Ability to work directly with farmers and end users.
• Series 3 license or willingness to obtain.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and independent in the field.
• Strong knowledge of basis, cash markets and CME futures.

Responsibilities

We're a family-owned grain brokerage, trading, and risk management firm headquartered in South Carolina. We're looking to add to our team across the southeast.

As a Grain Broker & Risk Management Advisor, you will serve as a trusted partner to grain producers across your region — helping them navigate cash markets, understand local basis, manage price risk, and execute sound marketing strategies. You will manage your own book of business, deliver ongoing market insight, and represent our firm with a farmer-first focus. This role is ideal for someone with an agricultural background and a strong grasp of grain markets who is ready to step into a client-facing advisory role — backed by an experienced team and a comprehensive suite of services.

What We're Looking For:

• Willingness to work directly with farmers, producers, processors, and end users
• Experience in grain marketing, merchandising, elevator operations, or commodity risk management
• Working knowledge of basis, cash markets, and CME futures
• Series 3 license (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stay informed on market trends and provide clients with competitive insights and solutions
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
