Job summary

Pinion is seeking a Senior Commodity Risk Management Consultant to drive strategy, lead client advisory efforts, and grow a national agriculture-focused portfolio. You will apply advanced risk management knowledge to help producers and agribusinesses navigate futures, options, crop insurance, and cash markets.

In this role you will manage key client relationships at executive levels, develop high-impact proposals, mentor junior team members, and participate in conferences and producer meetings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commodity risk management, futures/options trading, physical commodity trading, agribusiness consulting, or related roles.
• Strong exposure to grain, livestock, or dairy markets with ability to advise producers and agribusinesses.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
• Detail oriented approach to navigating volatile commodity markets.
• Experience with CRM systems (Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to leverage data platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and digital communication methods to drive consulting value.
• Expertise in evaluating client challenges, interpreting multifactor market scenarios, and crafting tailored, strategic recommendations.
• Series 3 license required (or obtained within 60 days of start).
• Crop insurance licensing (MPCI/LRP/DRP/PRF) preferred.
• Flexibility to travel up to 10% annually.

What You’ll Be Doing

Compensation:

When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Target earnings range from $120,000 - 200,000, with significant upside for high performers.
