What you’ll be doing:
- Process grain accounting transactions
- Interpret documents from customers (invoices, statements, checks, etc.)
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors
- Execute timely advances, payments and invoices in grain accounting software
- Identify and resolve issues that may be found in your day‑day processing
- Maintain status of easily accessible reports, files and records.
- Provide great customer service by working directly with producers regarding settlements, payments, and account questions
- Purchase farm products/commodities such as – but not limited to – wheat, corn, sorghum, and/or soybeans
- Collaborate with team to properly manage inbound and outbound truck schedule/logistics
- Assist in weighing and grading of inbound/outbound grain
- Work on special projects under direct supervision and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Requirements to be successful in this position:
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with grain accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in math
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
- Great interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail
