  • Maintain the graffiti abatement database and related documentation.
  • Maintain graffiti camera equipment and related records.
  • Assist with cleaning and removing trash from sites.

Job Summary

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is seeking a GraffitiAbatement & Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Graffiti Abatement teamperforms daily removal of graffiti on City property and works closely withlocal businesses and residents to assist in the removal of graffiti. In addition to graffitiremoval, the person in this role will have mowing and weed-whippingresponsibilities. Thisrole involves working with pressure washers, airless sprayer systems, and a ridingmower. This is an hourly, non-benefited position and the schedule is Mondaythrough Friday, with occasional weekend days requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visit sites to determine extent of graffiti offenses and work required; reviews dimensions of sites, materials, textures and colors of defaced surfaces.
  • Directly responsible for the removal of graffiti; facilitating/scheduling of graffiti removal by others (e.g. volunteers and/or contractors), as needed; and documenting all pertinent data.
  • Receives and documents complaints concerning graffiti incidents and offenders.
  • Keeps records of supplies required; research graffiti removal products.
  • Performs computer data entry, manual journal entry, file updates, and other records; maintains graffiti abatement database.
  • Maintains graffiti camera and its documents.
  • Assist with cleaning and removing trash
  • Tow and operating equipment such as tractor, riding mower, push mower, weed whip, leaf blower etc.

Required Education

Minimum - Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED)

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Unrestricted driver’s license
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Successfully pass a drug screening test, Motor Vehicle Record and background check
