Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Graduation Specialist III to conduct in-depth review and analysis of student records and provide technical and academic customer service related to graduation processing.

Responsibilities include evaluating transfer credits, calculating GPA, ensuring data integrity in the student record system, and supporting commencement activities in a collaborative office environment. A bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with the ability to analyze, interpret, and prioritize information.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student transfer credits, apply University policy to determine eligibility, and enter data into student record system.
• Calculate transfer admission GPA and record accurately.
• Examine student coursework records and analyze progression to degree certification, notifying students of coursework deficiencies.
• Update student information system through routine data entry; responsible for data integrity tasks related to graduation.
• Serve in leadership capacity during planning and implementation of commencement exercises.
• Troubleshoot technical and academic questions regarding academic record via multiple forms of correspondence; use student record system to identify students and their enrollment status.
• Participate as a member of the Office of the Registrar during events related to grading period, registration, orientation and recruiting.
