Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer II for Water/Wastewater in our Houston or The Woodlands, TX offices. The role involves modeling, planning, design, and construction for water utilities, with growth toward ownership opportunities.

You will design under supervision, prepare plans and estimates, and collaborate with surveyors, architects, and contractors to deliver projects for clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 1–4 years in Water & Wastewater Utility projects
• Texas EIT license or ability to obtain within 2 years
• FE exam passed or plan to obtain within 6 months
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred
• Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater desired
• Great communication and team-building skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including modeling, planning, design, and construction
• Assist in preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects
• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
