Job summary

Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer II, Water/Wastewater EIT to join our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in Houston or The Woodlands, TX. You will assist in pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design, and construction for water and wastewater projects.

You will work under supervision of a Professional Engineer, support utility projects, prepare plans and cost estimates, and perform CAD drafting with MicroStation/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of water/wastewater utility project experience.
• Texas EIT license or eligibility within 2 years.
• FE exam passed or plan to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater desired.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Support water/wastewater utility projects including modeling and planning.
• Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform drafting CAD work and calculations.
• Assist in permit applications and regulatory documents.

Position Summary

Graduate Civil Engineer II, Water/Wastewater EIT
Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer II, Water/Wastewater EIT to join our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in Houston or The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design, and construction for water and wastewater utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects, including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree (preferably in Civil or Environmental Engineering).
• 1–4 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Utility projects and Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Design.
• Current Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan on obtaining within six months of start date.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater.
• Great communication skills.
