Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. seeks new graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Engineer I, Water Resources to join our Water Resources team in Frisco, TX.

The role will involve flood risk education, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure for municipalities, governmental agencies and developers. You will support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources projects, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in water resources; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan to obtain within six months of start date.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro.
• Familiarity with XP-SWMM, InfoWorks ICM.
• Robust written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity and success.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Assist in the development of master drainage plans.
• Prepare and review engineering documents and reports.
• Prepare and review plans, specifications and bid documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
