Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a Federal Work Study – Gator-2-Gator Graduate Trainer Student Assistant on the main campus in Gainesville. The role supports the Gator-2-Gator peer‑support program within the Counseling & Wellness Center, delivering training, consultation, and on‑campus student services.

The graduate assistant will conduct trainings, facilitate weekly meetings, assist with scheduling, and participate in program planning.

Qualifications

• Federal Work Study award required; check with UF Financial Aid.
• Graduate student in psychology, counselor education, or related field.
• Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Not concurrently employed on UF campus using Federal Work Study.
• Requires access to personal computer and internet.
• Able to commit to 2-3 semesters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a minimum of two Gator-2-Gator trainings on a monthly basis.
• Facilitating weekly Gator-2-Gator consultation meetings ambassadors providing G2G peer support on campus.
• Attending Gator-2-Gator program planning and implementation meetings
• Assisting with scheduling and coordinating Gator-2-Gator program trainings
• Other similar duties as directed by supervisor.
