Job summary

Pennoni is hiring a Graduate Traffic Engineer for the Newark, DE office. The role supports traffic analysis, signal plans, signing and pavement markings, MOT/ Construction phasing, and TMPs.

Exposure to MicroStation/OpenRoads and related software is expected as part of a collaborative team environment. You'll work with state agencies, counties, and municipalities on various traffic-related projects, contributing to highway design, drainage, and utility layout while developing professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic analysis, safety evaluations, and preparation of traffic signal plans, signing and pavement marking plans, MOT/Construction phasing plans, TMPs, and lighting plans.
• Review traffic studies from third parties for new developments and projects.
• Develop transportation plans including highway design, hydrology and drainage, SWM and ES&C design; water and sanitary sewer layout.
• Support projects of various sizes for state agencies, counties, and local municipalities.
• Contribute to maintenance of traffic schemes and construction phasing.
