Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks an Associate Traffic Engineer to join our Haddon Heights, NJ office. You will assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects and lead traffic studies and permits.

You will contribute to design of signing, pavement markings, and TMPs, and support traffic control plans through project phasing. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in traffic engineering, a Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred), and proficiency with Synchro, VISSIM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of work experience.
• Microsoft Office; Microstation, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects.
• Lead and develop traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
• Signage and pavement marking design; assist with TMPs, construction phasing and traffic control plans.
• Assist with development of TMPs and Traffic Impact Studies (TIS).
• ADA design and curb ramp design; NJDOT access management initiatives.
