Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Graduate/Associate Highway Engineer for the Transportation Division at our Wyoming Valley, PA office. The ideal candidate will bring experience in transportation engineering, PennDOT permit processes, and roadway design, with strong communication skills and a willingness to grow within a multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of PennDOT publications and design standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 1–5 years of work experience.
• EIT certification; PA PE preferred.
• Basic knowledge of PennDOT EPS.
• Familiarity with PennDOT/AASHTO design standards.
• Proficient use of StormCAD, Hydraflow, VTPSUHM, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve work products.

Responsibilities

• Transportation engineering including PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit preparation and review.
• Roadway design and drainage design.
• ADA ramp design and maintenance of traffic plans.
• Pavement marking/system signing layouts and pavement section design/review.
