Job summary

Millersville University is seeking a motivated graduate student to support planning and delivery of its Continuing Education program, the Learning Institute: Global Well-Being and Social Change Conference and the Lockey Lecture.

The role requires 10–15 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Training is provided; candidates should upload a cover letter and resume to aid scheduling around academics and extracurriculars.

Qualifications

• Graduate student in Education, SOWK, or PSYC major.
• Commit to working at least 10–15 hours per week.
• Must work independently and show initiative.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to work compassionately and professionally with a diverse population.
• Good interpersonal phone and face-to-face skills.
• Good communications skills.
• Organized.
• General computer experience (Word, Excel and Outlook preferred).
• Creative — familiar with Canva or Adobe Express.

Responsibilities

• Attend Committee Meetings.
• Event Planning for the academic year.
• Research as needed.
• Serve as contact for the Learning Institute.
• Supply status reports to Dean and LI Committee.
• Coordination and implementation of events.
• Marketing Promotion of events.
• Room Reservations for events.
• Registration setup and tracking.
• Communicate with speakers & participants.
• CEU and Act 48 tracking and reporting.
• Perform specific duties and provide assistance when requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
