Millersville University seeks a Graduate Assistant to support the BSE STEM Education program. You will help plan and execute STEM-related events, coordinate Open Houses, involvement fairs, and teacher workshops, and liaise with faculty and external partners.

You’ll contribute to recruiting efforts, present at lectures and events, and promote STEM pathways to current and prospective students while collaborating across university teams.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program.
• Part-time Graduate Assistants must maintain a minimum of 3 credits in Fall and Spring semesters.
• Ability to attend and support events in person as scheduled.
• Strong organizational and event planning skills.
• Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and external partners.
• Passion for STEM education and student engagement.

Responsabilités

• Assist in full event planning process for BSE STEM events, from concept to execution.
• Organize and lead departmental events such as Open Houses, involvement fairs, admitted student days, and teacher workshops.
• Coordinate logistics, communicate with attendees, and ensure successful event facilitation.
• Represent the BSE STEM program at university-wide recruitment events, including tabling at involvement fairs and admissions programs.
• Promote STEM education opportunities by speaking publicly in lecture halls and community events.
• Engage with prospective and current students to raise awareness of STEM education pathways at Millersville University.
• Work with faculty and partners to support STEM education initiatives.
• Assist in coordinating and attending professional development workshops (Project WET, GLOBE).
• Support the department in event-related communications and scheduling.
