Position Summary

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduate Student Assistant- Admissions and Operation - Boca Raton, FL. The Graduate Student Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Graduate College by assisting with graduate admissions processes, document management, student record maintenance, research projects, and event coordination. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and student-focused services while maintaining compliance with university policies and confidentiality requirements.

Summary of Responsibilities
  • Assist with document management through scanning and validating, adhering to official Graduate College protocols and written procedures.
  • Assist with tracking application documents, transcripts, and other required materials.
  • Support graduate admissions staff with application-related inquiries from prospective and current students.
  • Assist with special projects and process-improvement initiatives within the Graduate College.
  • Conduct and assist with various admission research projects.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate graduate student records and databases.
  • Assist with event preparation and coordination of various Graduate College and FAU events.
  • Support Graduate College staff with various functions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with applicable university policies.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

FAU degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA required. Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be highly adaptable. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Effective problem-solving and active listening skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
