Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join our Mining Structural team. You will support analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities, including steel, concrete, and foundations.

You will work with structural engineers and designers, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and civil teams on integrated plant and building systems. You will contribute to plans, calculations, specifications, and construction details, and assist in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Professional with up to three years of progressive structural design experience.
• Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) upon completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Proficiency with RISA 3D or Ram Structural System, MathCAD, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities.
• Contribute to development of plans, design calculations, specifications, and construction details for steel, concrete, and foundation systems.
• Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams to design integrated plant and building systems; support construction administration activities.
• Travel up to 15% for meetings, client consultations, and site inspections; manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
