Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking a Graduate Registered Nurse to join the team as a new RN. A hiring incentive of up to $19,000 is available for eligible candidates, with a starting rate of $41 and increased rates for experienced nurses.

Evening, night, and weekend shift differentials of up to $7 may apply. The RN will deliver patient care, coordinate with the care team, and participate in quality and safety initiatives in a 40-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses plans, organizes, performs, and evaluates nursing activities to meet patient needs.
• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises care plan.
