Job summary

UC San Diego seeks a Coordinator to oversee programs designed to recruit students into graduate and professional degree paths. You will plan events, counsel students, and connect them with UCSD faculty for research placements and industry internships. You’ll track progress, manage records, and contribute to grant reports.

The role involves liaison work with Financial Aid, departments, donors, and external partners to identify and award scholarships, including URS and Prestigious Scholarships.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Counseling and advising techniques with understanding of higher education.
• Experience using MS Office, spreadsheets and databases for outreach and records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities of programs to recruit students for graduate or professional programs.
• Plan and conduct program events, seminars, and workshops.
• Meet with students to monitor compliance with program guidelines and assist with research placements.
• Identify internships and provide educational counseling for academic success.
• Maintain detailed records and assist with grant reports.
• Coordinate scholarships including URS and Prestigious Scholarships.
