Job summary

University of Florida in Gainesville seeks an Academic Program Specialist I to support PhD Epidemiology, MS Epidemiology, and related certificates. You will coordinate admissions, supervise graduate student processes, and liaise with faculty and leadership to keep programs running smoothly.

You will handle course scheduling, syllabi updates, and student support while ensuring compliance with UF policies and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with course management systems and university registrations systems.
• Experience working with students, faculty, or project coordination.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to work in a team and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary staff recruiter for graduate students, managing materials and events.
• Manage online applications for PhD Epidemiology and MS Epidemiology programs.
• Coordinate graduate admissions reviews and prepare offer letters.
• Coordinate I-20 process for international applicants and respond to inquiries.
• Oversee course registration, textbooks, syllabi, and Canvas guidance.
• Organize curriculum committee meetings and maintain scheduling calendars.
• Prepare appointment letters and manage PeopleSoft entries for GA funding.
• Maintain student databases and assist with annual reporting.
