Job summary

CVS Health’s Graduate Pharmacy Intern program offers hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy alongside a dedicated preceptor and district leadership. You’ll complete a comprehensive 120‑day training roadmap to deepen your knowledge of store operations, patient safety, and quality assurance DUR.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to become immunization certified when state regulations are met.
• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy operations and patient safety under supervision.
• Assist in production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off at each workstation.
• Counsel patients and respond to medical questions when appropriate.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescriber as allowed.
• Assist with inventory, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks as directed.
• Provide immunizations and related services where allowed by state regulations.
• Maintain SOPs and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture.
