Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice and prepare for Pharmacist roles. Under the direction of a preceptor and district leader, you will complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to deepen your understanding of store, district, and regional operations.

You will learn patient safety, DUR, SOPs, and empathy in every customer interaction while supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, timely prescriptions

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern/licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Complete required training within designated timeframe
• Concentrate on tasks and maintain accuracy in labeling and dispensing medications
• Provide empathetic, high-quality customer service and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Use mathematical reasoning to determine dosage, days supply, and inventory needs
• Identify and resolve patient or colleague issues with appropriate escalation
