Job summary

Baptist Health Shelby in Alabaster, AL is seeking a Graduate Nurse to join our 252-bed acute care facility. You will administer patient care in an inpatient/observation setting, under supervision, with emphasis on assessment and care planning.

The role supports ongoing education, residency participation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This full-time position offers day/evening shifts (FT AM 7A-7P) with every third weekend.

Qualifications

Graduate Nurse must have completed nursing education and be eligible for RN licensure in Alabama.
Authorized by the Alabama Board of Nursing to practice as a Graduate Nurse is required.
Known required certifications include BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be needed in some areas.

Responsibilities

Administers bedside patient care in a hospital or inpatient setting under supervision.
Assesses patients and develops/revises care plans based on needs and responses.
Respects diversity and collaborates with the healthcare team.
Serves as a patient advocate and supports family education.
Demonstrates nursing skills and uses unit equipment per requisite standards.
Participates in nursing leadership activities and supports residency programs.
