Placements24 is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering consultancy. You will contribute to design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems, applying academic knowledge to real projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and designers.

This role offers remote collaboration with project teams and connections to operations in East London, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to work on diverse applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is essential.
• Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project requirements.
• Previous internship or relevant project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to analyze performance and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support the testing and validation of prototypes and production units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and designers.
• Contribute to the creation of technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for problem-solving.
• Research and evaluate new materials and manufacturing processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical engineering issues.
• Adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
