Coram AI is looking for a hands-on Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to design, validate, and iterate electromechanical assemblies across the full product lifecycle in Sunnyvale, CA. You will balance performance, manufacturability, and cost while collaborating with vendors and senior engineers.

Ideal candidates have a strong CAD background (Fusion 360/SolidWorks), experience with DFM/DFA, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on hardware experience via internships, co-ops, projects, or student teams.
Proficiency in CAD tools such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
Familiarity with DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes like sheet metal and molding.
Understanding of thermal, vibration, and environmental design considerations.
Curious, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

Support the design, development, and validation of electromechanical assemblies balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
Contribute across the full product lifecycle from prototypes to field deployment.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to keep parts on schedule and to spec.
Be proactive, take initiative, and bring a scrappy, hands-on approach to problem solving.
Take ownership to move multiple workstreams forward.
