Job summary

Acara Solutions in Fremont, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design and analyze mechanical systems, components, and packaging solutions. You will create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings, and participate in design reviews during prototype development.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, conduct feasibility studies, testing, and validation, and help bring concepts from design through prototype development. This is a 2‑year on‑site contract with regular on‑site engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• 2+ years applying GD&T, drafting standards, and design analysis.
• 2+ years testing, validation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, components, equipment, and packaging solutions.
• Create and review 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Conduct feasibility studies, testing activities, and prototype evaluations.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Support troubleshooting, validation, and ongoing product development efforts.
