Job summary

Highmark Health invites applicants for the Summer 2027 Data Science Research & Development (DSRD) Graduate Internship. This program applies advanced data science, ML, AI, and software engineering to clinical and healthcare challenges, with four tracks aligned to candidate interests: Knowledge Graphs, Medical Imaging, Predictive Modeling, and AI Applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Pursuit of a graduate degree full or part‑time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day‑to‑day operational issues.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day‑to‑day objectives and receive guidance from senior personnel.
Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects within area of expertise and ability.
Conduct research and reporting for action recommendations as requested by management.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
