Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Data Science Research & Development Graduate Internship. This program invites graduate students to apply advanced data science, ML, AI, and software engineering to healthcare challenges.

The internship spans four tracks—Knowledge Graphs, Medical Imaging, Predictive Modeling, and AI Applications—allowing students to align work with their background. Collaboration with researchers and engineers is expected, with mentorship and practical analytics

Qualifications

Pursuing graduate degree full or part-time in related field.
Strong programming in Python.
Experience with data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with department objectives.
Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills.
Participate in unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the unit objectives.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
