Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.
  • Coursework in flight dynamics, guidance, navigation, or control, linear state-space systems, physical system modeling, or estimation theory.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and expand capabilities.
  • Must be able to obtain Interim Secret clearance by start date and ultimately Top Secret; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate GN&C methodologies for next-generation missile flight systems.
  • Apply state estimation techniques to navigation problems with very large state representations.
  • Develop navigation-related error models from a math/physics perspective.
  • Analyze real missile flight test data to assess GN&C performance.
  • Work with MATLAB and Simulink to generate navigation sensor models and conduct performance trade studies.
  • Develop navigation algorithms for 6-DOF simulations.
