Northeastern University is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to advise full- and part-time students and families on financial aid availability and the delivery process. You will review applications, perform verifications, evaluate appeals, and coordinate with school administrators, registrars, and co-op to ensure funds transfer to student accounts.

Responsibilities include administering federal and NU awards, communicating complex details by phone or email, and ensuring compliance with Title IV

Qualificações

• Knowledge of Title IV regulations preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate well by telephone and email.
• Working knowledge of PowerFAIDs, Banner, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Experience in student personnel administration in financial aid or college admissions.
• Associate’s Degree, certificate program, or equivalent with 1+ years of relevant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Administer federal, state and Northeastern financial assistance.
• Review student applications and perform federal needs analysis.
• Review and evaluate student appeals; verify information per federal process.
• Counsel students and parents on financial aid processes and options.
• Explain procedures via appointments, email, and phone.
• Assist in repayment and reconciliation with billing, accounts and registrar offices.
