Job summary

Austin Water, part of the City of Austin, seeks a Graduate Engineer B to sponsor and execute water and wastewater relocation and replacement projects within the Renewing Austin program. This role combines engineering design with project management and requires coordination across City departments to plan, review, bid, and construct projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with two years of related experience and must be eligible for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university and two years of engineering experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification in Texas or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles and standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings, diagrams, and plans under supervision.
• Develop proposals and design criteria for projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist in project budgeting and contracting.
