Job summary

Austin Water is seeking a Graduate Engineer B to support water and wastewater pipeline relocation and replacement projects under the Renewing Austin program. You will assist in design, drafting, cost estimates, and coordination with multiple teams and departments to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and the ability to read complex specifications. An Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred, with a pathway to Texas EIT within six

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of engineering experience.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying complex specifications and plans.
Ability to perform engineering calculations and use CAD/drafting tools.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain design drawings, diagrams, plans and permits under supervision.
Develop design criteria and assist with cost estimates and feasibility studies.
Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to review designs and respond to questions.
