Job summary

The City of Houston is seeking a Graduate Engineer for the Houston Water/Wastewater Operations to support CIP projects related to lift stations and force mains. You will assist in project management, technical reviews, interagency coordination, and field oversight to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from approved curriculum in engineering.
• Option 1: state licensure path with FE exam or PE requirements.
• Engineering-in-Training certificate may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and delivery of CIP projects including lift stations and force mains.
• Support EPA deadlines and regulatory compliance.
• Review CIP submittals and RFIs.
• Respond to technical inquiries from CIP teams and contractors.
• Represent WWOPS at progress meetings and site visits.
• Maintain project documentation and data tracking.
