Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) invites graduate-level students and recent graduates in engineering to engage in practical research and support engineering projects. You will work with mentors on real-world problems across mechanical, electrical, systems, materials, manufacturing, or test engineering in the DTED/SD Directorate.

Full-time on-site position requiring presence due to the nature of work.

Qualifications

• Eligible to access LLNL per NDAA.
• Graduate degree student or completed degree in engineering.
• Outstanding academic performance.
• Experience applying advanced engineering principles.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor on real-world engineering problems.
• Conduct research in assigned area under supervision.
• Perform technical assignments and support engineers in R&D projects.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Attend relevant seminars.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
