LJA Engineering, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Graduate Engineer I in Land Development. You will use AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and other design tools to support feasibility studies, cost opinions, exhibits, and construction plans for public and private clients.

This entry-level position offers hands-on learning, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to a broad range of projects. A BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and progress toward FE exam are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from ABET accredited university (Civil Engineering preferred).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Previous work experience in the engineering industry.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Water Resources Software (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS).
• Passed the FE Exam.
• Team mentality and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical experts, peers, and support roles to perform design calculations and generate technical drawings.
• Support feasibility studies, opinions of probable cost, exhibits, and bid packages.
• Assist in takingoffs, models, and development support tasks for public and private clients.
• Contribute to design iterations informed by existing site conditions and constraints.
