Job summary

Ulteig is seeking Graduate Engineer level candidates to join the Grid Modernization team. This role focuses on development and execution of Medium Voltage Distribution Grid Modernization work.

The position will use advanced techniques to complete project features, provide technical plans, and coordinate with clients and staff on design, estimation and scheduling. ABET-accredited degree and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar is required.
• ABET-accredited program or equivalent required.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Experience with utilities is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with distribution load flow software is preferred.
• DER interconnections experience is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for grid modernization solutions, including design criteria, planning, load flow studies, and interconnection reviews.
• Contribute to project scoping, estimating and scheduling under supervision.
• Review project drawings, calculations and specifications.
