Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics.
  • Exposure to scientific computing, data analysis, or statistics through coursework/projects.
  • Proficient in MATLAB or similar computing language (SciPy, Julia).
  • Comfortable working in Linux OS.
  • Eligible for Interim Secret clearance with potential to Top Secret; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and analyze simulated guided missile data using high-fidelity and mixed-fidelity simulations and statistical tools.
  • Evaluate performance of interceptor systems: EO/IR and RF seekers, guidance and control, sensor handover, fuzing, warhead efficacy.
  • Verify and validate simulations against requirements and real data for accreditation.
  • Present findings to sponsors such as the U.S. Navy and MDA.
  • Contribute to decisions and future designs for defense systems.
