Job summary

Black & Veatch, a 100% ESOP-owned engineering leader, seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer for the Substation department to help address critical infrastructure challenges and work on diverse projects across our client portfolio.

You will contribute to design guides, deliverables, and basic calculations while learning from experienced teams. Hybrid work arrangements may follow after 90 days of performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher as a minimum requirement.
• Work onboarding may include background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, and procedures.
• Supports the quality program and continuous improvement efforts.
• Contributes to preparation of engineering deliverables and studies.
• Performs routine research and develops equipment/material recommendations.
• Collects and manages data for engineering work and prepares basic calculations.
• Adheres to budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Coordinates with project leadership and internal clients.
• Shares knowledge of latest technology and processes.
