Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley’s Graduate Division seeks a skilled Business Systems Analyst to optimize Student Services systems, including Campus Solutions, Slate, and APR. This role combines knowledge of graduate processes with system design to support admissions, funding, degrees, appointments, and student life.

You will liaise with campus stakeholders, document workflows, test changes, and drive continuous improvements to data integrity and operational efficiency across Graduate

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or the ability to learn various modules within PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to support staff advisors.
• Knowledge of Admissions software systems (e.g., Slate).
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team; strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience with IT collaboration and ticketing systems (JIRA, Slack, ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and executes functional and user acceptance testing for system changes.
• Develops and maintains testing scripts and scenarios.
• Analyzes and documents business and user requirements; translates them into functional specs.
• Represents Graduate Division in SIS User Groups and ad-hoc meetings.
• Monitors, documents, and follows up on tickets; supports staff and stakeholders.
