Job summary

The University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking a Graduate Admissions Analyst to support day-to-day processing of campus-wide graduate admissions for approximately 50 programs and more than 10,000 applications annually. The role ensures adherence to university policies and advises departments, students, and the public on admission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
• 1-3 years Computer programs such as word, excel, and google suite
• 1-3 years Experience performing a variety of administrative support functions
• 1-3 years Experience working in a diverse academic setting
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-task and time management skills
• Ability to identify and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage central processing of graduate admissions applications for ~50 programs and 10,000+ applications annually
• Review and approve final departmental recommendations for admission
• Advise departments, students, and the public on admissions requirements, policies, and procedures
• Maintain Slate CRM platform, payment processing, and related systems
• Assist with policy implementation, training, and cross-team coordination
