Job summary

GHD in Charlotte, NC is seeking a graduate Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization. You will work with senior engineers on projects across industrial, municipal and environmental markets, preparing designs, calculations and drawings for water distribution, sewer, pumping stations, roads and stormwater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's in Civil Engineering required or preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 0–2 years Civil Engineering experience; internships count.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with REVIT, PCSWMM or similar tools.
• Involvement in professional organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit designs for project engineers.
• Prepare portions of project documents including drawings and specifications.
• Research code and regulatory requirements.
• Research design options and document findings for engineers.
• Involved in construction including site inspections and review of shop drawings; respond to contractor questions.
• Perform analysis and design retrofit of facilities.
