Placements24's client, an established engineering consultancy in Welkom, is offering a structured 12-month paid internship for a Graduate Civil Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience in design, planning, and supervision of road infrastructure projects, working alongside seasoned engineers to develop transportation networks in the Free State region.

You will assist in design and planning of roads, participate in site visits, collect data, prepare drafts, learn road design and traffic

Qualifications

• Must have a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in roads and transportation engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in road and highway design and planning.
• Participate in site visits and construction supervision under mentorship.
• Collect data and conduct preliminary investigations for new road projects.
• Prepare draft technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Learn and apply software tools for road design and traffic analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare draft technical reports, drawings, and specifications under guidance.
• Learn and apply relevant software tools for road design and traffic analysis.
