FGCU is seeking a Graduate Admissions Processor I to provide comprehensive graduate admissions support. You will review, process, and maintain system records for all application types and ensure admission requirements are satisfied.

This role collaborates with faculty and departments to maintain applicant files, interpret policies, and deliver excellent customer service to applicants and the university community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus two years of full-time related experience.
  • Professional experience in admissions, higher education or related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Review, process, and maintain system records for all graduate admission applications.
  • Verify transcripts, test scores, residency and related documents for compliance.
  • Provide guidance to applicants and campus partners on admission processes.
  • Maintain applicant files across the student information system and admissions modules.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and text with professional service.
  • Protect confidentiality of student records and data.

Graduate Admissions Processor I

The Graduate Admissions Processor I provides comprehensive graduateadmissions support to all prospective students. Responsible forreviewing, processing, and maintaining system records for allapplication types and for ensuring graduate admission requirementsare satisfied.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Collects, reviews, and verifies student admission applications,domestic and foreign transcripts, and other related forms foradmission to ensure they are authentic and in compliance withuniversity policies and procedures and state and federalregulations.
  • Processes transcripts, test scores, residency, articulations,program changes, and deferrals in admissions modules and maintainsaccurate systems databases in compliance with standards andregulations.
  • Verifies and ensures graduate admissions program requirementsare met using set policies and standards. Performs credentialevaluations.
  • Provides advice, guidance, and assistance to applicants,students, the university community, and the general public relatedto admissions and application processes.
  • Collaborates with faculty and departments across campus tomaintain applicant admission files and assist with interpretingFGCU and General Graduate Academic Policy (GGAP) Regulations toensure program and university requirements are met.
  • Creates, maintains, and manages files, records, and other datain the student record system and admissions modules.
  • Responds to inquiries by phone, email, and text to provideexcellent customer services to prospective and currentstudents.
  • Maintains a secure and confidential environment for studentrecords and other data.
  • Assists department with special projects, such as externalpartnerships with businesses, systems testing, and databasemaintenance of admissions modules.
  • Fosters and maintains professional relationships with academicdepartments, faculty members, and external stakeholders.
Other Duties:
  • Composes non-routine correspondence.
  • Provides auxiliary support for recruitment events.
  • Assists with training of new staff and/or student employees forspecialized functions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
  • This position requires a high school diploma and two years offull-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Professional full-time work experience in admissions, computerscience, technology, higher education, or related field.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relatedfield.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Banner Student Information Systems,Technosolutions Slate system, and/or Workday.

  • Proven ability to think strategically and approach challengeswith creativity
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, meeting goals, andholding oneself accountable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectivelyacross teams
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn International Educationalstandards.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn FGCU admission standards andBoard of Governor admissions regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communicationskills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize andcomplete simultaneous projects when numerous and competing demandsare involved.
  • Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency andlearn new applications and systems.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, andreports.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team andindependently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff,faculty, students, and the community in a service-orientedenvironment.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned andtimely decisions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies andprocedures consistently.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, draw valid conclusions,and/or develop appropriate alternatives where applicable.
