Intake Coordinator II, Office of Ethics & Compliance
Job Summary
The Office of Institutional Ethics & Compliance (OIEC) isseeking an individual to serve in an important role supportinginstitutional work involving ethics, compliance, equal employmentopportunity, and Title IX. The position serves as an importantpoint of contact for students, faculty, and staff and plays a keyrole in the intake, assessment, and coordination of sensitivematters.
As the beginning role within a growing OIEC career path, thisposition provides the opportunity to develop broad knowledge andexperience across multiple areas of institutional compliance andcomplaint resolution. The successful candidate will work closelywith OIEC staff and campus partners, gain experience with a widerange of matters, and build the knowledge and skills necessary forcontinued professional growth within OIEC.

Job Description
Typical duties include but not limited to:
- Serves as the initial point of contact within the Office ofInstitutional Ethics & Compliance for concerns related to EqualEmployment Opportunity (EEO), Title IX, compliance, andethics.
- Conducts initial assessments of reported concerns to identifythe nature, scope, and urgency of the matter and determineappropriate next steps.
- Collects, documents, and verifies relevant information duringthe intake process, including complainant contact information,allegations, witnesses, supporting documentation, evidence anddesire outcomes.
- Evaluates reported concerns and determine appropriate referralor escalation for review or investigation. Connect individuals withappropriate university resources, including Faculty Affairs, theDean of Students, University Ombuds, and Employee Relations, asappropriate.
- Assists with complaint resolution and the investigativeprocess, including facilitating informal resolutions, compliancereviews, and other appropriate resolution processes.
- Coordinates supportive measures and accommodations related topregnancy, religion, and other applicable circumstances inaccordance with university policies and applicableregulations.
- Coordinates intake and investigation assignments and monitorcases to facilitate timely follow-up, communication, andresolution.
- Collaborates with internal partners to facilitate theappropriate transition and coordination of complaints throughestablished resolution processes and maintain effective casemanagement practices in a high-volume environment.
- Provides training, support, outreach, and programming relatedto equal employment opportunity, Title IX, compliance, ethics, andrelated institutional policies.
- Establishes and maintains complaint intake files and accurate,confidential records of case activity, communications, and relateddocumentation.
- Prepares regular reports and analyses regarding intakeactivity, case demographics, trends, and other information tosupport monitoring, assessment, and continuous improvement.
Other duties:
- Serves as a Campus Security Authority as outlined by the CleryAct
- Assists with office events or programs as needed
- Assists with administrative tasks such as monitoring emails,answering phones, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
This position requires either seven years of relevant full-timeexperience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from anaccredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization andthree years of relevant full-time experience
Additional Minimum Requirements
- Experience operating personal computers and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) softwareand video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in human resources, compliance, legal, socialservices, higher education, or a related field involving complaintintake or case management.
- Work experience with EEO and/or Title IX complaints.
- Bilingual.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsinvolving sensitive or complex matters.

- Demonstrated track record of reliability, meeting goals, andholding oneself accountable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectivelyacross teams.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliancestandards (e.g. ADA, FERPA, EEO, Title IX).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communicationskills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention todetail.
- Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team andindependently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff,faculty, students, and the general public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at alltimes.
- Ability to gather data, analyze results, and prepare reportsand other written materials.
- Ability to interview students and employees who may have been affected by an on campus discriminatory incident and assist in theresolution as assigned.
- Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends asnecessary.
