Marshall University's Office of Student Conduct is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Student Accountability. This 20-hour-per-week GA will support the Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability, adjudicate conduct violations, and help students navigate the university's conduct process. The appointment runs for the 2025-2026 academic year (Aug.

4, 2025–May 15, 2026) with some evening or weekend work. Candidates must be enrolled in a Marshall University graduate program and maintain a 3.0 GPA;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed by first day of employment.
• Enrollment in a Marshall University graduate program.
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission, vision, and goals of the University, Division of Student Affairs, and Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability.
• Provide information to students regarding the conduct process and students’ rights and responsibilities.
• Adjudicate student conduct code violations and follow up on sanction completion.
• Advocate for students in the formal hearing process.
• Assist students to problem solve and connect them to appropriate support services.
• Assist the Assistant Director with selection and training of student conduct board members.
• Report student issues through appropriate channels in a timely manner.
• Plan and implement programming and educational initiatives.
• Assist with department events; some evening and weekend work may be required.
