Job summary

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Position Description

A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Support Speech‑Language Pathologists in academic, clinical, research, and/or administrative roles.
  • Assist with accessible materials, simulation materials, didactic teaching materials, and clinical materials.
  • Maintain and organizing supplies, records, and other departmental materials.
Occasional Duties
  • Filing, copying, scanning, laminating, material preparation and management, tutoring, and coordinating supplies.
  • Assisting the supervisor with maintaining the clinical hours tracking system.
Required Qualifications

Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or leveling in Communication Disorders.
  • Observation and/or participation in Speech‑Language‑Hearing clinical practice.
  • Experience in the healthcare field.
