Job summary

Lackawanna College is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support Residence Life and Housing operations during the Academic Year 2026-2027. The GA will assist with research, student support, housing tasks, and administrative duties while pursuing graduate studies.

This half-time position emphasizes collaboration with staff to advance departmental initiatives, occupancy management, and residential life programs.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college graduate program with strong academic standing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams; willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience as a Resident Assistant or in Residence Life preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Residence Life operations and occupancy management.
• Coordinate housing programs and events; maintain records.
• Assist with communications, scheduling, and newsletters.
• Support residents through conflict resolution and RA collaboration.
• Assist with room assignments and check-in/check-out processes.
• Support peak periods like move-ins and finals advising.
