Job summary

Lackawanna College's Department of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices seeks a Graduate Assistant (half-time) to support staff in SARP with research, programming, and administrative duties in an academic setting.

The GA gains practical experience in student affairs, conduct processes, restorative practices, and student support services, collaborating with professional staff on initiatives and departmental assessment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment/acceptance in a Lackawanna College graduate program in Business Admin, Higher Education, Organizational Leadership & Management, or Professional Studies
• Strong academic standing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
• Demonstrated interest in student development, restorative practices, conflict resolution, behavioral intervention, conduct administration, or student support services

Responsibilities

• SARP support: Assist with the administration of SARP practices and processes, including case preparation, correspondence, documentation management, and educational follow-up initiatives.
• Assessment and data management: Assist with collection, organization, and analysis of departmental data related to SARP outcomes, educational pathways, programming, and student learning outcomes.
• Educational programming and outreach: Collaborate with professional staff to develop and implement educational programs focused on personal responsibility, ethical decision-making, conflict resolution, community standards.
• Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing materials for training and workshops, and supporting day-to-day operations of the department.
