Job summary

East Stroudsburg University seeks a Graduate Assistant for the Frederick Douglass Institute, working 10-20 hours per week (150-300 hours per semester). The GA will support diversity initiatives, social media outreach, events, and committee work.

Candidates should have experience working with diverse populations, be self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple projects including the Student Scholar program, Book Club, Creative Expression, Debate Society, and campus events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roll out of new program initiatives including student scholar program, creative expression event, and book club.
• Support with faculty scholar program events and campus-wide activities sponsored by FDI.
• Assist in advertising and promotion for the Frederick Douglass Debate Society, including fairs and open houses.
• Post on social media to advertise the program within ESU and PASSHE.
• Attend executive committee meetings monthly and help execute events for subgroups.
