Job description

Graduate Assistant, Disability Support Services

This position involves supporting students with disabilities by assisting with outreach, administrative tasks, and coordination of auxiliary services. The Graduate Assistant reports to the Learning Access Coordinator and collaborates with the Academic Services team to provide holistic academic support.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting with student outreach, appointments, and support meetings related to disability services.
  2. Supporting front office and Testing Center operations, including scheduling and test proctoring.
  3. Helping organize auxiliary services for students with disabilities.
  4. Researching, developing, and editing materials for websites, social media, and promotional purposes.
  5. Auditing and updating the disability support services website.
  6. Collecting and analyzing support services data.
  7. Collaborating with team members to support students with accommodations.
  8. Participating in recruitment and retention activities, including admissions events.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and admission into a graduate program at the university. Availability to work during business hours. Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience handling confidential student information. This is an on-campus, in-person position.

Work Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule to be determined with the supervisor.
